Anne Boleyn’s signature and personal emblem. As she drew them.
The Source
This pendant carries Anne Boleyn's own signature from her Book of Hours, along with her illustration of an astrolabe.
An ancient tool used to tell time, the astrolabe is thought by the scholars at Hever Castle to have been deeply meaningful to Anne. It is thought its appearance in her Book of Hours, alongside her inscription Le temps viendra and her signature, shows her meditation on time and judgement.
Together, they seem to say: everything in the right time.
The Piece
The story without the stone. As part of our Marginalia line, this piece makes Cunningfolk’s trademark historical rigour more accessible than ever — just without the bells and whistles.
Materials:
20mm sterling silver disc
Engraved with Anne Boleyn’s signature in her own handwriting
